Drink Holidays in December 2020
On December 5, 1933, America’s “great experiment” ended. The Twenty-first Amendment to the United States Constitution was signed into law, putting an end to 13 years of Prohibition. Thus, each year on December 5, we celebrate National Repeal Day.
Whether you love it or hate it, few beverages evoke the holiday season like Eggnog—which is why we celebrate National Eggnog Day on December 24, the day before Christmas.
While not an “official” drink holiday, New Year’s Eve may very well be the biggest drinking day in the entire year, and celebrated worldwide. It is a day to celebrate the beginning of a new year, and there is often a big countdown leading to the stroke of midnight.
